CKS students prepare for Pumpkin Catapult Olympics

-A A +A

Members of the CKS Enrichment and Gifted Program tested out their catapults for the Pumpkin Catapult Olympics coming up on Friday. Program members will be competing to see whose catapult can shoot Halloween candy the farthest!

The catapults were designed and built by the students using popsicle sticks, plastic spoons, rubber bands, and glue. The popsicle sticks provide a wedge to give the catapult momentum. The spoons are candy carriers and the rubber bands and glue are used to hold everything together.

Nothing will stop the determination of these students--they are destined to create the best catapult that you ever did see!
