  • Bronson Speedway gets ready to...

    Bronson Speedway gets a new lease on life Saturday when the track opens for the 2011 racing season after sitting dormant for more than a year.
    Open Wheel Modifieds, Sportsman cars, INEX Legend Cars, Pure Stocks and Hornets will be in action on opening night. These classes will run almost every week at the speedway, and the five divisions will be the core of racing at Bronson.

  • Newman relishes rare Sprint...

    When Ryan Newman crossed the finish line at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, having won for the 15th time in his Sprint Cup career, he enjoyed a pleasing, but rare, overlap.
    Newman also started on the pole in the Lenox Industrial Tools 301. It was the 47th pole of Newman's career. Only nine drivers have ever won more. But it was only the fourth time Newman won after starting out front.

    Hey, everybody, Hope all is well and you are all stayn’ as cool as ya’ can be. I’m having such a hard time right now with my identity.
    Well, usually I want it to be calm because my boat isn’t the best at handling rough weather — it’s just too flat. But lately I been praying for some wind so me and my guests won’t bake to death. So right now I’m kinda confusing myself.
    But all’s good. This weekend was a good one - very little rain threat and some wind to keep it cool. But not too much, so it was rough.

  • Water, electric don’t mix

        It is recommended that you have your dock and boat inspected periodically for bad wires and loose grounds. Any time a person is in the water around a dock or boat where there is AC power, electrical shock could occur.
        A boat plugged into shore power with a short on board is dangerous and the owner may not be aware of it. AC current may enter the bonding system if an AC ground becomes disconnected then electrical current can enter the water by way of a bonded thru hull fitting.

  • Gettin’ back to fishin’ after...

    Hey everybody, sorry for missing last week. I spent most of the week out of town and not on the water. A fishing report that is made up, not really my style. 

    This week I was able to wet a boat four days. I went to the Waccassassa River one day, Horseshoe Beach one day and the Suwannee River and my backyard good ol’ Cedar Key.
