Special to The Beacon
The smallest school in Florida brought home a state championship in FFA forestry on Friday.
The Cedar Key Middle School FFA Chapter won in spectacular fashion. Collectively the team placed first in four of the six categories and placed third in another. Each of the four team members was thewinnner of one of the categories and one team member, Kira Telgen, was named the middle school individual champion.
This is the first state championship for the three year old FFA chapter.
