It didn’t matter whether they farmed peanuts, watermelons, clams or cattle, the farmers and ranchers who gathered at the County Ag Building in Bronson on Friday had a message for U.S. Department of Agriculture representative Michael Wooden:
Last week the green and white converted horse trailers that Levy County uses for its recycling collection program started disappearing from around the county and folks began wondering where they could take their old newspapers, plastic and glass bottles, and cardboard and plastic packaging.
Sarah Bartholemy, a freshman FFA member in Cedar Key placed first in the FFA District Creed Speaking Contest. Sarah advances to the State Finals in June in Orlando. The State Champion in this event will represent Florida in the National Creed Speaking Contest in October. Good luck Sarah!
