The concrete dock that federal money rebuilt after the 2004-5 hurricane seasons is great for fishing, but not much else, and the Levy County Commission is looking to change the situation in an effort to lure boaters to the city's amenities.

After some rocky years forced an RV park on State Road 24 to change hands, the new owner is seeing more business and will be installing 16 new spaces and a bath house to accommodate the uptick.
“You won’t find the name of MacIvey in history books,” is, most likely, a true statement, but it’s certain the man who wrote those words is deserving of being remembered.
