The City of Cedar Key is planning a sidewalk along State Road 24 between the No. 3 bridge and the No. 4 bridge. The Gainesville engineering firm of CHW has been chosen to design the mile-long sidewalk. The current schedule is to advertise for construction bids on May 1, and award the contract at the June 4 commission meeting.
A workshop to discuss, answer questions about and receive public comment on a proposed sidewalk between the No. 3 and No. 4 bridges on State Road 24 will be held at the Cedar Key Community Center on Wednesday, Feb. 13, beginning at 6 p.m.
