The Cedar Key Water and Sewer District Board of Commissioners has a vacancy that was created by the election of Chris Cowart to the Levy County School Board and it is accepting applications for a replacement.
The District Charter details that the vacancy shall be filled by vote of the remaining members of the board.
The Board will accept applications by persons interested in filling this vacancy. Applicants are asked to submit a letter of interest no later than 4 p.m., Friday, Nov. 30.
Please include phone number, mailing address, physical address, and email address in the letter. Applicants are required by the Charter to be registered voters residing within the District.
Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.
The Board will meet on Monday, Dec. 10, at 5 p.m., at the District Offices, 510 Third St., Cedar Key, to take action on the applications.
