Final round of speeches in contest

Jenny Bierman, Savannah Beckham, and Dylan Webster will get to go to Bronson on Dec. 6. These three middle school students were crowned with first, second and third place this past Friday.
The top 3 winners from both seventh and eighth grade competed against each other for the top three speeches out of both grades.
Jenny Bierman won first place with her speech titled, "Flip- Flops." Savannah Beckham won second place with her speech titled, "How Lucky We Are to Live in America," and Dylan Webster won third with his speech titled, "Celtic Culture." The top three winners from sixth grade, Caitlin Goss, Laia Gore and Brooke Allen will go to Bronson with the three seventh and eighth graders. In the elementary competition Jeremiah Barnes took the first place medal with his speech about car accidents. Let's all make sure to root them on!
Home basketball games

With this year's basketball season just beginning you've probably heard your kids constantly talking about the upcoming games.
There are three home games this week on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Monday's game will be varsity girls at 6 p.m. and varsity boys at 7:30 against Seven Rivers. Tuesday's game will be for the middle school teams against Oak Hall with the girls playing at 4 p.m. and the boys at 5. Thursday's game will be the varsity teams against Ocala St. John, with the girls playing at 5 p.m. and the boys at 6:30.
