Russell Lloyd Allen, 55, died July 11, 2011, from an accident at his home in Acworth, Ga. He was born June 7, 1956, in Rome, Ga. He was the son of Herman Lloyd Allen of Cedar Key and the late Barbara Allen Pierce.

Russell is survived by sons and daughter-in-laws, Jason (Leslie) Pierce of Acworth, Ga., and Michael (Christina) Allen of Virginia Beach, Va.; grandchildren Megan and Tyler Pierce, and Devin and Ryan Allen; his father, Herman Lloyd Allen, and stepmother, Jan Johnson Allen both of Cedar Key; sister Jana Allen (Graham) Cathey of Charlotte, N.C.; brothers, Andy (Shirlene) Allen of Cedar Key, and Gregg (Nancy) Allen of Rome, Ga.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Pierce and brothers, John Eric Allen and Craig Lamar Allen.

He was a loving son, father, grandfather and brother. He will be greatly missed. He was buried near his mother and grandparents in Rome, Ga.
