"Cool people don't dis their parents, lie to their friends or put their grandmothers in a crock pot...I mean hot tub," according to Rockin' Red.

That's what Cedar Key K-8th graders learned recently when they were treated to a performance of Rockin' Red Riding Hood by the Atlantic Coast Theatre for Youth.

Sponsored in part by grants from the State of Florida Division of Cultural Affairs, the Florida Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts, CK students enjoyed an experience with live professional theater they will not soon forget.

The energy that Don Gruel and Noel Holland put into the show captivated the students? attention and delivered their message.

The married couple, from Orlando, are working actors who successfully write and produce their original two person shows and music with the education of children in mind. Each production is a lesson in theatre, history, literature, music and character with workshops available to those who may be interested in following their footsteps.

According to Ms. Patty Jet, liaison for bringing arts into our school, "We are definitely inviting them back to perform one of their other shows as soon as we can."
