City Commission - The city of Cedar Key Commission meets at 6 p.m. the third Tuesday of each month at city hall.
Water District Meeting - The Cedar Key Water and Sewer District meets at 5 p.m. the second Monday of each month at the district’s offices on Third Street.
CRA Meeting - The Cedar Key Community Redevelopment Agency Board meets at 6 p.m. the first Tuesday of each month at City Hall.

Ombudsman program seeking volunteers - Florida’s Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program needs volunteers to join its corps of dedicated advocates who protect the rights of elders residing in nursing homes, assisted living facilities and adult family care homes. Stitches from Heart helps babies - Stitches From The Heart is a nationwide group of volunteers that love to knit, crochet and quilt for needy babies and children. Unfortunately, many premature babies often go home from hospitals with little or nothing to keep them warm. They need volunteers to knit, crochet or quilt blankets, little sweaters and hats for babies in need.
These items are donated to hospitals all over the country. Patterns are available. Donated yarn is appreciated for our seniors. Stitches From the Heart has donated thousands and thousands of hand-made hats, booties, sweaters and blankets to more than 411 hospitals and charities around the country.
