When Standard Time began on Sunday, Nov. 3, lawn and landscape irrigation returned to one day per week for residents and others within the Suwannee River Water Management District’s (District) 15-county region.
The District’s year-round lawn and landscape irrigation measures limit watering to two days per week during Daylight Saving Time and once weekly during Standard Time. Residents may choose which days to water. However, irrigation should not occur between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. and users should water only as much as their landscape needs.
