The Cedar Keyhole Gallery is proud to announce Artist of the Month for September 2010 is Steve Bloom.

Designing and fashioning raw steel into a work of art is not for the faint of heart. Yet Steve Bloom has been doing it masterfully for many years. With fire and hammer and tongs a piece of nondescript metal can become a Damascus steel knife or ornate candelabra. Steve’s sharp eye and deft hand have produced many desirable pieces ranging from ancient dragons and undersea denizens to fireplace accessories and much more. Steve will have many of his latest creations on display for the entire month of September.

Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Cedar Keyhole, located on 2nd Street (across from the Library) in Cedar Key, also maintains a display of many other works by over 20 contributors to its artists’ cooperative. These works include paintings (oils, acrylics, pastels, and watercolors), metal works, stained glass, jewelry, fiber arts, leatherwork, pottery, and woodworking among others.
