Free tax assistance offered

Tax season is a stressful time for many people, but it does not have to be. There are many options for obtaining assistance in tax form preparation. Some people use internet filing programs, some do the work themselves and some people pay a tax preparer. Those people who seek free advice on claims and filing will be pleased to know of the services provided by the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program (VITA). This year VITA will be providing assistance, by appointment, in three accessible locations outside of Cedar Key:
