Last chance at scallops! Scallop season ends Sept. 10. Most people don't realize that September scallops are more plentiful, have bigger meat and some feel the cooler water of September makes them sweeter. Last chance, the next opportunity for fresh scallops will be July 1, 2009. Better go get'em.

Inshore fishing has literally had the chalkboard erased. After Tropical Storm Fay with torrential rain and 40-plus-knot winds, from three directions I might add, the trout are likely to re-emerge just about anywhere.
