Qualifying for the open seats two and four of Cedar Key's City Commission, and for seats one, three and five for the Cedar Key Water and Sewer District starts Monday, March 17.
Qualifying will close on Friday, March 21 at noon.
Prospective candidates for City Commission should come to City Hall for qualification, and be able to document that they are at least 18 years old and a full-time resident of the City of Cedar Key.
All seats are for two years, and elections will take place on May 6 at City Hall, not at Community Center, the site for non-local elections.
In the event a run-off is needed, that event will take place on May 27, also at City Hall.
City Commissioner Vanessa Edmunds has said she will not run again. Mayor Paul Oliver says he will.
