In response to Mr. Wilson’s response in your May 3, 2012 edition: Mr. Wilson is wrong on all accounts.
1) The vast majority of fishermen in the area get along just fine without an airboat, including clam farmers who mostly use the “Bird Dog”, a boat designed for net fishing and is propelled by an outboard motor.
2) Comparing Airboats to a farm is ridiculous. If Mr. Freeman had moved next to a farm, he should expect farm related activities. But, having to lie awake half the night listening to an airboat was surely unexpected.
