Do you know about Wednesday mornings at the dump?

Every Wednesday morning from 8 a.m. to noon, you can drop off your household hazardous waste, free of charge, at the Levy County Landfill on CR 335 between Bronson and Williston.

tems accepted include: most automotive fluids, compounds and fuels, batteries, paints and solvents, mercury thermostats and thermometers, home/garden/yard/pest and pet cleaners and products, chemicals and more. Tires are only $2 each (to cover the disposal costs) and motor oil is also accepted for free every day.

If you would not want it to wind up in your drinking water, then it needs to be taken to the dump. For a complete list, go to:  www.levycounty.org/cd_hazwaste.aspx".

Additionally, the landfill will allow free disposal of garbage for persons or groups who wish to clean areas of illegally dumped waste. Contact the Director Benny Jerrels, at the Levy County Landfill, to make arrangements at 352-486-3300.
