Finish grading of the new road base has started along Hodges and Andrews Circle in preparation of asphalt paving later this month and February. Reconstruction has started on Gulf Boulevard and there will be one lane of traffic this month and next. Many of the side streets off Gulf Blvd. are being prepared for paving and will be paved in February.

Goose Cove Water Main

Boring under Goose Cove was completed on January 8. The eight inch pipe was installed in the tunnel created for it, and the line was tested on Saturday. H Street has been reopened for traffic.

The second phase of the project, installing the water main and fire hydrants to serve the Airport and Piney Point areas is scheduled to begin in early March.

Cemetery Point Park

Work necessary to make the park handicapped accessible has been progressing well. The boardwalk will be open every weekend during construction and any weekday there is no activity on the site. Please be guided by the signage and caution tape to know which areas are open to the public. The project will be completed by the end of February.
