Get exercise while helping stock schools

Zumba fans and those interested in the exercise program are invited to "Rock the School House!" at a Zumbathon on Saturday, Aug. 10, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Bronson High School in the auditorium, 351 Ishie Ave. Bronson.

Registration is $5 or a donation of school supplies. All proceeds will go to purchasing school supplies.

The school supplies needed include: pencils, erasers, wide and college-ruled paper, folders, boxes of tissues, bottle glue and glue sticks, crayons, scissors, composition notebooks, hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, colored pencils, highlighters, white index cards, folders with prongs, folders without prongs, dividers,  1-3-inch binders and notebooks.

Community Resource Program

The Community Resource Program meeting will be held at Haven Hospice on Aug. 20 at 5 p.m. Members of the Board of Directors will meet at 4:30 p.m. All organizations are invited to attend and share how they serve our area. Visit with your legislator

State Rep. Charlie Stone (R-District 22) who represents Levy County in the Legislature will hold office hours in Chiefland beginning at 9 a.m. in the Old Train Depot in Trailhead Park. He will also hold office hours in Cedar Key City Hall from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 28.

Zumba offered twice a week

Zumba Fitness with Sarah Beth will be offered at the Cedar Key Community Center, 809 6th Street. This program is designed for everyone - all ages, sizes and fitness levels. Operation PETSNIP
