Month of May

Artist of the Month
The Cedar Keyhole’s Artist of the Month for May is Carol Seidman.
Seidman creates both functional and decorative pottery. Her glazes include gorgeous shades of aquas, turquoises and oxblood reds, but she doesn’t hesitate to use other colors in interesting ways. Seidman has been a potter for 30 years and has taught pottery as well, but she concentrates solely on creating works at this time. She believes that functional pottery can be beautiful and interesting and her pottery repertoire is ever-evolving – the mark of a truly creative artist.
The Cedar Keyhole is an artist co-op with 23 local and regional members. The gallery has been a working enterprise supporting the arts in Cedar Key and displaying the works of artists for 48 years. The Keyhole is located on historic 2nd Street in Cedar Key, an island in the Gulf of Mexico. The gallery is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
