A request by WastePro, the city's garbage and recycling provider, to change their contract by adding an almost 4 percent “cost of living” increase was denied by the City Commission Tuesday night. However, the commission left the door open for discussions about other ways the city and the company can save money.
Public Works Director Josh Wilson gave a presentation that demon- strated the cost savings and increases in recycling rates over the past 10 months.
