Artist of the Month for November:

Marsha Schwartz

Marsha Schwartz, a former gallery owner, has been a professional artist for over 35 years. She has maintained a continuous involvement and active connection to the art scene throughout these years.

Her art career spans exhibiting in galleries in Montreal, New York City and other locations.

Originally starting out in pottery, she now breaks it to use in her funky mosaics. Many of her latest complex creations, both functional and decorative, will be on display at the Cedar Keyhole for the month of November.

The Cedar Keyhole, located on 2nd Street, across from the Cedar Key Public Library, also maintains a display of many other works by over 20 contributors to its artists’ cooperative.

These works include paintings (oils, acrylics, pastels and watercolors), metal works, stained glass, jewelry, fiber arts, leatherwork, pottery and woodworking among others. The gallery is open daily, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
