The cover of the July/August issue of Airboating Magazine may feature their “Swamp Sweetie” - wearing a camo bikini, cowboy boots and hat - but it gets even better on page 44.
GTO Performance Airboats hosted its 13th annual airboat saltwater fishing tournament in Cedar Key in late May. The main photo of the article featured the city park beach at sunrise, as well as several photos from their weigh-ins with the proud anglers showing off their catch.
Largest redfish, trout and combination categories earned the fishing enthusiasts $500-$1000, as well as, fancy coolers, aluminum fish measuring sticks and retractable fish dip nets. The door prizes were impressive, too. Who would not want a Fastenal DeWALT angle grinder or Cool Coatz gift certificates or Ultra Light Nightsport Headlights?
Airboat #22 - the Cedar Key team of Hudson, Collins and Lang - won third place in the largest redfish category, as well as, a custom air-brushed paint job for Hudson’s GTO airboat.
While you can’t read the magazine online, according to their website, they are for sale at convenience stores, airboat, fish camp, sportsmen’s shops and book stores nation wide and in Canada.
