Chiefland AMVETS Post 42 Riders are providing bikers with an opportunity to have fun and benefit a worthy cause. On Saturday, Aug. 17, riders are invited to participate in the Post’s first Poker Run. All proceeds from the event will be contributed to the Levy Association for Retarded Citizens, Otter Creek.
Riders should gather at the post headquarters on US 19/98 north of Chiefland (across from Dakota Winery) and kick stands go up at 10 a.m. The cost to bikers is $10 per hand and passengers pay $5.
The course of the ride will take bikers through Inglis, Morriston, Williston and Bronson with the last bike expected back at the AMVETS Post in Chiefland by 3 p.m.
