During the month of March, Ann Kamzelski, whose creative photographs were displayed in the member’s gallery at the Cedar Key Arts Center, ran a contest for viewers to guess the number of birds that it took to create her work titled “Birds of Paradise”. The winner is Cathy Techtmann of Wisconsin with a guess of 527. The actual number of birds in the image is 542 — 40 tricolored herons, 44 ibises, 92 great blue herons, 110 great egrets and 256 flamingos. Anyone who missed the show can see Ann’s work at the Island Arts gallery on Second Street
