4-H offers sewing camps

-A A +A

What are you doing July 2 through 6?

We’re having a Beginning Sewing Camp at the Levy County Agricultural Center in Bronson. It starts at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m. except on Fridays when it ends at noon. Lunch and Snacks are provided. You must have been 8 years old by Sept. 1, 2011. There is a limit of six spots.
We will sew a pair of shorts with an elastic waistline. Then we will decorate a T-shirt to match so that you will have a great outfit for the rest of the summer. In the afternoons, we will take a break and do some crafts, painting and quilting at the Levy County Quilt Museum and baking. A fashion show will be held on Friday morning for family and friends.
Cost is $25 plus your fabric and sewing tools. Please call Mrs. Muriel or Ms. Lacy at 352-486-5131 for more information or check out our website levy@ifas.ufl.edu for more details and information.
Levy County Commission screened volunteers are needed and appreciated for this sewing camp as well as other sewing camps.
